Orchestra- Established to give students the opportunity to learn and appreciate Western classical culture.
Chinese Music Ensemble：Established to provide students with hands-on experience of Chinese culture, preserving and passing on the essence of traditional heritage.
Marching Band: Combines music with marching routines to foster discipline, teamwork, and confidence.
Choir: Focuses on choral techniques, enabling students to perform diverse musical genres through voice while enhancing their appreciation of music.
Chinese Drumming Group: Uses drum training to develop rhythmic sense, instilling energy, confidence, and team spirit.
Music
In accordance with the Music Curriculum Guide (Primary 1 – Secondary 6) (2024), our Music Department has established clear directions, strategies, overall aims, and learning targets for student development. The curriculum focuses on imparting musical knowledge while fostering well-rounded growth—Developing Creativity and Imagination, Developing Skills and Processes, Cultivating Critical Responses and Understanding Arts in Context. We also integrate Information Technology and STEAM education to spark students' interest and curiosity.
Beyond the regular curriculum, we provide diverse platforms for students to showcase their talents, such as Talent Shows, Little Artists, and Friday Arts Showcase. Additionally, a wide range of musical activities and training classes are available, including the Orchestra, Marching Band, Choir, Chinese Music Ensemble, Chinese Drumming Group, String Classes, Woodwind & Brass Classes and Chinese Instrumental Classes.
Our department also actively promotes National Security Education through experiential learning, such as organizing trips to the Ko Shan Theatre for Cantonese Opera workshops and attending live performances by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
